A.provide a good ground.
B.have handy mounting brackets.
C.fit a template hole.
D.have the correct capacity.
The main consideration when choosing an appropriate outlet box is for the box to?
D it must have a capacity appropriate for the devices and wires that will go into it. Otherwise it will not pass inspection for not meeting the code.
Reply:I think D since there's no use in having a box that the wires can't fit into.
Reply:D.
B is cosmetic, only
C is not a factor, because you cut holes to fit a box, not the other way around.
A might be correct, but rarely is an outlet box used as a ground point. Plastic outlet boxes do not contain ground points anyway, so A. is "out".
That leaves D. And in my experience it is correct on its own merits anyway.
.
Reply:D is correct.
