Arrange the following steps of Transcription in correct order 1-5?

a. RNA polymerase attaches the first DNA nucleotide of the template chain

b. RNA polymerase binds to the promoter of the template chain of DNA

c. RNA polymerase reaches the termination signal and releases the DNA and RNA molecules

d. The two chains of the DNA molecule seperate near the promoter

e. Complementary RNA nucleotides are added to the newly forming RNA molecule

Arrange the following steps of Transcription in correct order 1-5?
d-b-a-e-c
Reply:d. The two chains of the DNA molecule seperate near the promoter

b. RNA polymerase binds to the promoter of the template chain of DNA

a. RNA polymerase attaches the first DNA (shouldn't this say RNA?*) nucleotide of the template chain

e. Complementary RNA nucleotides are added to the newly forming RNA molecule

c. RNA polymerase reaches the termination signal and releases the DNA and RNA molecules

*RNA Polymerase would only be laying down RNA nucleotides, not DNA ones...
