Does anyone know how to write a c.v. for U.S. graphic designers?

Templates would also be helpful.

Does anyone know how to write a c.v. for U.S. graphic designers?
Templates can be found on any of the sites that offer jobs in the US.

In the US its called a resume not a cv

List your employers, dates employed, and responsibilities on that job.

Be sure to include what software packages you are familiar with. Include how much time you spent with each package and whether you consider yourself an expert.

List your academic achievements with dates. Concentrate on formal academic environments (colleges, universities, etc.) and honors but don't forget to mention any specialized job oriented training that you have taken. No one cares if you have taken cordon bleu training but training with a particular CAD package can be important.

You appear to be a native English speaker or well skilled in the English language. Ensure that comes through in your resume.

You are telling an employer that you have the skills to do his job without having to train you and that you will smoothly fit into his organization.

VERY IMPORTANT - keep it under two pages.
