The main consideration when choosing an appropriate outlet box is for the box to?
D it must have a capacity appropriate for the devices and wires that will go into it. Otherwise it will not pass inspection for not meeting the code.
Reply:I think D since there's no use in having a box that the wires can't fit into.

B is cosmetic, only


C is not a factor, because you cut holes to fit a box, not the other way around.


A might be correct, but rarely is an outlet box used as a ground point. Plastic outlet boxes do not contain ground points anyway, so A. is "out".


That leaves D. And in my experience it is correct on its own merits anyway.
